  2. Whoa! We're worried about you guys - does your heating system actually handle temps like that? Wha'ja bake? Perfect pizza weather, isn't it?

  3. It was cold- we heat with a combo. Wood pellet stove, and a propane stove. It kept up. Our biggest leak is the dog door in the back room- we can close it up. but then the doggies can't go in and out at will. We did close it that night though. Temps are back up in the 20's now, so it's pretty balmy.

  4. Think I told you that my sister's family had one of the old lodges in the woods to the west of Tupper, and they told stories of going up there in the winter - They'd rent snowmobiles in Tupper and go the 20 miles to the lodge, where they'd build a huge fire in the big downstairs fireplace - and after it'd get going real well, they'd all stand in front of it, while their fronts toasted and their rears got frostbite - then they'd turn around and defrost their rears while their fronts froze awhile.

After a few days of this, they packed up and went back to Tupper where they rented a motel room. They said they never did get that big lodge living room warm enough to be comfortable.

The truth is that Jerseyits just don't belong in the Adirondacks in the winter!
